First stable version of Geeqie released

Vladimir Nadvornik et al. released the first stable version of an image viewer called Geeqie.

The application is a forced fork of GQview that was started, because GQView's developer never replied all the mails and patches sent his way.

So now two years and several alpha and beta versions later the v1.0 is out. Unfortunately there is no overall list of changes, and we failed to find enough time to crawl through several miles long changelogs. So we just give you url to source code tarball and you have our word that Geeqie is really-really better than GQview in many ways.

The project is looking for translators, because a lot of translations have become largely outdated due to all the fixes, improvements and new features. You can download the source code.
