Blender Foundation gives grants to two projects

About a month ago we reported on at attempt by Blender Foundation to centralize donations by using monthly subscriptions and then spending them on important projects. Well, here are the first results.

As of September 2 the Foundation has 105 subscribers that bring 1205 euro a month. So the Foundation decided to give grants two to previously chosen projects: Jeroen Bakker gets 1200 euro to finish his 10K goal and do core OpenCL nodes, while Lukas Toenne gets 1000 euro to finish his Particle Nodes project.

By the way, here is the most recent video from Jeroen that demonstrates resolution conversion in the new compositor:

The next proposals for projects to be sponsored will be reviewed later and announced in a month, that is, in early October. Stay tuned for updates!
